The Giants are looking to poach some front office talent from their division rivals.
According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, the Giants are interested in Dodgers general manager Farhan Zaidi for their open president of baseball operations role. Morosi hypothesizes that San Francisco’s interest on Zaidi may explain the slow pace of their front office search.

Zaidi, 41, has been the Dodgers’ GM since November 2014, previously holding multiple front office positions with the Oakland A’s for the 10 years prior. In Zaidi’s four years with Los Angeles, the Dodgers have won the NL West division title every year, making it to the World Series twice. The Giants haven’t won the division since 2012, when they also won the World Series title.
