OAKLAND – The Minnesota Timberwolves were at the forefront of off-season NBA news, and most of it had to do with Jimmy Butler.

The Timberwolves star didn’t get the max deal from the team he wanted – mainly because Minnesota had already given buckets of cash to Karl Anthony-Towns ($163.4 million guaranteed) and Andrew Wiggins ($146.7 million guaranteed) – and was extremely vocal about his displeasure.

The T-Wolves have gotten off to a 4-4 start, and the offseason attention can’t have helped. Despite all that, Butler and his team came in to Oracle Friday night and gave the Warriors a game. But late in the second half cameras caught Butler sitting on the bench, laughing and waving a rally towel.

We’re not sure where that came from, but the players sitting around Butler on the bench seemed to get a kick out of his rally towel.

As far as we can tell Jimmy Butler is as good as confirmed as a member of the 2019-20 Golden State Warriors squad.
