The San Francisco Giants are prepared to offer Los Angeles Dodgers general manager Farhan Zaidi a front office role, following the dismissal of longtime general manager Bobby Evans, according to a report by Jon Morosi of MLB Network. Morosi earlier reported that Zaidi was one of the Giants’ targets for the president of baseball operations role. It isn’t currently known how close either side is working out a deal.

Zaidi, 41, has been the Dodgers’ GM since November 2014, previously holding multiple front office positions with the Oakland A’s for the 10 years prior. In Zaidi’s four years with Los Angeles, the Dodgers have won the NL West division title every year, making it to the World Series twice. The Giants haven’t won the division since 2012, when they also won the World Series title.

The Giants have also been linked to MLB executive Kim Ng, Rays executive Chaim Bloom, Brewers assistant GM Matt Arnold, and Dodgers executive Josh Byrnes.
