As documented by ESPN’s Nick Friedell, the Warriors gave Kevin Durant a guided tour of Chase Center on Friday afternoon, the arena he’ll play in next season should he re-sign with Golden State next year.

“My imagination is going wild right now with possibilities,” he said at one point according to Friedell.

“I’m thinking about a lot of points being scored,” Durant said. “The fans are going to love it.”

Those comments would seem to indicate that Durant is leaning towards staying and playing in the arena at least for next season. That shouldn’t come as a surprise, as Durant was also the featured guest during the groundbreaking ceremony last year.

When asked directly about committing to the Warriors for beyond this season, KD wouldn’t answer.

“What are we doing?” Durant said, while Warriors staffers tried to move the tour along. “What are we doing?”

Durant is not the first Warriors player to tour the Chase Center, but is the first to walk on the space where the playing floor will laid down next season. According to Friedell, construction workers yelled Durant’s name throughout the 40-minute tour.

The Warriors are scheduled to move into their new San Francisco home next season, after spending 47 years at Oracle Arena.
