Kerr on losing streak: ‘We have to look at what’s in front of us now’

OAKLAND – The Golden State Warriors are feeling the loss of Steph Curry and Draymond Green more than anticipated after losing their fourth-straight game – a first in the Steve Kerr era.

The Warriors posted 17 turnovers, the continued Achilles heel of the team, and lacked shooting depth from the bench. Kevin Durant and Klay Thonpson poured in 27 points each, but Damian Lee (13) was the only other Warrior to post double-digit points.

Kerr addressed the losing streak after the game, rebuking comparisons to the team last season:

“We’re obviously not playing well, we’re in a tough stretch,” Kerr said. “I don’t care to look back at last year we had a different team. I don’t really care to make that comparison. We just have to look at what’s in front of us right now, which is we have to get better in every dynamic.”

Kerr was also asked what he plans on doing to try to keep spirits up when the team is facing a losing streak like this. Of course Kerr had a light-hearted response.

“I’m thinking of juggling at shoot around Friday and you know that paddleball game? I’m not very good at it, but I might try that too,” Kerr said jokingly.
