Steve Kerr provides target date for Draymond Green’s return

Draymond Green has missed the Warriors’ last nine games, and 12 of the last 14, with a lingering right toe sprain. During Wednesday’s shoot around, head coach Steve Kerr said Green is making good progress, and that the team is hoping he’ll return during next week’s home stand, vs. either the Timberwolves on Monday or Raptors on Wednesday.

“(Draymond) had another good day today,” Kerr said via Anthony Slater. “He’s really making strides so we’re excited about his progress and hopefully it continues over the next few days. He won’t play in Milwaukee but I think there’s a good chance he’ll play early next week.

“Maybe the first (game). If not the first one, the second one. We’d be aiming for one of those two.”

The Warriors are 6-6 with Green out of the lineup this season. In nine of those games the Warriors were also without Stephen Curry (groin), who returned vs. the Pistons on Dec. 1. Both players haven’t been in the lineup together since a home win over Memphis on Nov. 5.
