It might not be a splash, but it’s something.
The Giants have signed former Mets pitcher Jamie Callahan to a minor-league deal with an invite to spring training, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today.

Callahan, 24, last saw big league action in 2017, when he made nine relief appearances for the Mets, posting a combined 4.05 ERA in 6.2 innings. The right-hander missed almost all of last season as he recovered from shoulder surgery.
Callahan is a former second-round pick by the Boston Red Sox, and was traded to the Mets last season as part of the Addison Reed deal.
The Giants enter the offseason with Madison Bumgarner, Jeff Samardzija, Derek Rodriguez, and Chris Stratton fighting for spots in the rotation. Johnny Cueto is expected to miss all of 2019 as he recovers from Tommy John surgery.
