Adam Schefter believes there is a very good chance the Steelers trade Antonio Brown this offseason.

The NFL Insider said as much when he joined Murph & Mac on Thursday. Schefter also broke down what he believes the Steelers’ asking price would be, something 49ers fans might be interested in after Brown seemed to hint at an affinity for the 49ers.

“What did the Raiders get back for Amari Cooper?” Schefter asked. “A one (first-round pick) right? And Amari Cooper is not as productive, not as accomplished as Antonio Brown, who’s had seven straight 100-plus catch seasons in a row. His production is unparalleled in the NFL. You cannot argue the results, but Antonio Brown is also seven years older than Amari Cooper, and he’s 30 years old. So it would depend on how many teams were interested.

“If there were a group of teams, I think the Steelers would definitely get back a one. If it’s not, if it’s a smaller group of teams my sense is that it would be some combination of picks like a two and a five, or a three and a six, or a two and a seven, or whatever it may be. It just depends on what the market brings.”

Brown is a seven-time Pro Bowler, and finished with 104 receptions for 1,297 yards and a career-high 15 touchdowns during the 2018 season. Cooper, 24, is a two-time Pro Bowler who put together back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons in 2015-2016.

“If Cooper gets a one, I would think Brown does too.”
