Curry pulls off ankle-breaker, hits record-breaking 3-pointer

Imagine you’re Justin Jackson. You’re a sophomore in the NBA on the Sacramento Kings, a rising young team fighting for a Western Conference playoff spot. You’re having a near-flawless shooting night and are en route to a career-high 28 points against the Golden State Warriors.

Jackson’s 28 points and five 3-pointers contributed to the Kings’ outstanding offense on a night in which they broke their own franchise record for 3-pointers made in a game (now 20) and in combination with the Warriors’ 21 3-pointers, they broke the NBA record for combined 3-pointers made in a game (now 41).

That’s a night to be proud of.

Unfortunately for Jackson, for anyone who’s not a Kings fan, he’s likely to be remembered for the moment above, when Stephen Curry turned his ankles into jello and hit the NBA record-breaking 41st 3-pointer of the game. Jackson also had the added displeasure of being turned perfectly towards the hoop to see Curry’s 3-pointer go down.
