Klay Thompson gets sentimental about Oracle at halfway point of season

OAKLAND – Never underestimate the pensive nature of Klay Thompson. Following a 43-point performance which marked the halfway point of the regular season – the final season of Oracle Arena – Thompson spoke about the nature of playing at Oracle in its final year.

“Every game we have in Oracle is a blessing because it’s the last time we get to play here, believe it or not,” Thompson said. “It’s hard to fathom, so every time we run out on this court just to give it our all, just enjoy the ride.”

Thompson said it was hard to put the run is perspective.

“We’ve being doing this – realistically trying to win a championship for the last four years, so these don’t last forever, these dynasties, or the opportunity to cement ourself as a dynasty,” Thompson said. “Every night is special, especially playing in front of a crowd like we have – we’re sold out every night and that is a rare feat, so we’re just lucky to be in this position.”
