Curry breaks down slip during Warriors-Lakers game

Stephen Curry proved that he was human during the Warriors-Lakers game on Monday.

As Curry gathered to rise up for a dunk on a breakaway layup late in the game, both feet slipped out from under him. To add insult to injury, when Curry got back on his feet and corralled the ball, he fired a 3-pointer from the corner that missed everything.

Curry broke down the play during a guest appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Wednesday night, and tried to explain what happened.

“What had happened was the LA Kings had a game right before us, and they must not have put the floor on top of the ice all the way cause there was a little wet spot right there and I slipped,” Curry joked. “In my head I knew I was about to do some crazy 360 dunk I’ve never done in my life, and it just didn’t happen.”

Comedian Ronald Funchess quipped, “How does the ice explain the airball?”

“Touche. I was a little dizzy,” Curry responded.
