The Warriors just edged out one of the most significant wins of the season against the Boston Celtics, a team that, according to Connor Letourneau, is the one which many players on the Golden State roster, including Draymond Green, believe pose the greatest challenge to the Warriors in a potential NBA Finals matchup.
Tonight was a spectacle of top-tier teams from either conference facing off for a game that came down to the wire. A 115-111 win for the Warriors extended their win streak to 10, while it snapped Boston’s 10-game home win streak. That’s great. But we’re still four-to-five months from the NBA Finals and that’s timeline that’s not lost on Klay Thompson.
Thompson was asked after the game whether a Warriors-Celtics matchup was in the offing, and when pressed further, Thompson was blunt. “I’m not a fortune teller,” he said.
Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant were also asked about the Celtics and the competition level of the NBA, after head coach Steve Kerr said the talent level of the league is at one of the highs he’s ever seen it, according to Anthony Slater:
Steve Kerr: “The league is better this year than it has been in a long time.”

According to Connor Letourneau, Curry said the Warriors and Celtics “…bring the best out of each other.” Here’s what Durant and Curry said about the NBA’s current glut of talent, especially young talent.
