DeMarcus Cousins wins 3-point shooting contest at Warriors practice facility

OAKLAND – Things are pretty structured during shootaround at the Rakuten Practice Facility.

Stephen Curry shoots around the arc nearest to the media until he makes at least 50 3-pointers. Klay Thompson shoots on the opposite end of that same court. Draymond works in the far corner of the gym.

DeMarcus Cousins seems to have settled on a court that a group of Warriors reserve guards and wings shoot on. Usually you can see the likes of Andre Iguodala, Quinn Cook, Damion Lee and others taking turns getting shots up.

Tuesday everyone in the gym appeared to be in a good mood. To end the session DeMarcus Cousins and Damion Lee had a light-hearted shooting contest with the rest of the group watching.

Hard to say what the rules were, but it looks as though the goal was to hit as many shots before two misses. Cousins went first, missing his opening shot before knocking down the next two. Lee followed and hit his first shot, but missed the next two.

The outcome of the contest may not matter, but the fact that Cousins increasingly comfortable with his teammates should.

Warriors host the Jazz Tuesday night. Tipoff is at the regular 7:30 p.m. time.
