Steve Kerr gets ejected after slamming clipboard on court

When Steve Kerr gets angry, he makes it very clear. That said, you rarely see Kerr get as angry as he was tonight, when Draymond Green was called for a technical foul late in the fourth quarter, with the Warriors trailing the Portland Trail Blazers by seven points.

This came after a hard foul Green committed on Blazers forward Zach Collins, who previously got into it with Klay Thompson. Collins swatted a shot from Damion Lee before Thompson became incensed, and both players picked up technical fouls.

But Green’s foul seemed to be of the more standard account, and it appeared that he got some of the ball. Commentator Mark Jackson said, “Steve Kerr is sitting there thinking, what happened to the league I played in? That’s just a good foul, sending a message. Enough is enough.”

Yet, it was deemed a flagrant, and Kerr, aware that the Warriors were likely going to lose the game at that point, erupted, and slammed down his clipboard, tearing into the referee, Ken Mauer.
