Giants go back-to-back-to-back in Wednesday’s spring training win

The Giants’ offense came alive in Wednesday’s 15-2 spring training victory over the Kansas City Royals. The Giants homered five times, including three in a row during a wild stretch in the bottom of the eighth inning. Chris Shaw, Joey Bart, and non-roster invitee Zach Green all went yard in succession. Evan Longoria and Gerardo Parra also hit home runs in the third and fifth innings respectively.

Bart’s first homer in a Giants uniform was part of a big day for the young catcher. The Giants’ second-overall pick in 2018 also smacked a double off the wall in right-center field. In seven at-bats so far in spring training, Bart has four hits and is posting an OPS of 1.714.

The Giants are 2-2 through their first four spring training games. They face the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday at 12:05 PM.
