Listen Live Now:

Curry, Thompson asked if they’re worried about Warriors after back-to-back losses

When the Warriors lose two games, funny questions get asked. And when funny questions get asked, funny answers are given. Such was the case tonight, after the Warriors lost their second-straight game and their third in their last five (which took place over an eight day stretch).

A reporter decided to ask Stephen Curry, the owner of two MVP trophies, and a winner of three of the last four NBA championships, if he was worried about the Warriors following back-to-back losses to middling teams in the Eastern Conference, in the Miami Heat (27-33) and the Orlando Magic (29-34). Curry’s answer was short and direct:

“No,” Curry said, smiling and shaking his head.

Klay Thompson was also asked about the status of the Warriors, and whether he was happy with where the team was at. Thompson, of course, responded, “Uh, yes. That’s easy. Yeah.”

He was then asked about perceived outside team chemistry drama.

Thompson shook his head and responded, “Team chemistry drama, I ain’t hearing any of that.”

Tonight’s loss came with Kevin Durant resting for the first time this season, and with Durant out, the Warriors hit a season-low assist total of 16 assists. Curry had one of his least efficient shooting performances of the season, scoring 33 points on 12-of-33 shooting from the field and 5-of-17 from deep. Thompson scored 21 points on 9-of-21 shooting from the field and 3-of-12 from deep.

They and the rest of the Warriors will play again Saturday against the Philadelphia 76ers in Philadelphia.
