OAKLAND — Klay Thompson has looked spry since returning from a knee injury that sidelined him for two games. Last game, he poured in 39 points on nine made threes.

He’s off to another hot start Sunday evening against the visiting Phoenix Suns. After eight quick points, Thompson threw down a reverse dunk that elicited a standing ovation from Oracle Arena. Thompson raised the roof before slapping hands with Joe Lacob.

Is this the best dunk of Thompson’s career?

The flush accentuated a hot Warriors start as they jumped to 27-11 lead in the first 9:02 of the game. The Warriors are aiming for their 19th consecutive win over the Suns.

Thompson, who once made a bet with Zaza Pachulia regarding who would dunk more in a season, has been dunking with regularity throughout the current season. That’s been part of one of his best career campaigns. His 22.3 point-per-game average is tied for the most in his career.
