Cover your eyes, 49ers fans.
The New York Giants have reportedly agreed to trade star wideout Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the details.

This is the mega-deal of the early free agent period, and the deal 49ers fans evidently didn’t want to see.
For a while, it seemed that if Beckham Jr., who was under contract through 2020 with the Giants, were to be traded, it would be to the 49ers. They hold the No. 2 overall pick that, via trade, would allow the Giants to select their quarterback for the future. San Francisco had been in discussions with New York for weeks. And Beckham was reportedly interested in joining the 49ers.
But the Browns emerged as a late player, as they continue their efforts to build around franchise quarterback Baker Mayfield. Beckham will join LSU teammate Jarvis Landry to anchor Cleveland’s receiving corps.
