DeMarcus Cousins accidentally passes to Curry on bench

When Stephen Curry is open, you make sure he gets the ball. Tonight, DeMarcus Cousins made sure that happened even while Curry wasn’t in the game. Early in the second quarter, Cousins made a hilarious mistake as he drove to the hoop.

After Cousins’ drive was impeded by Clint Capela, he looked for an out pass, and when he jumped, the only person open in his line of sight was Curry… who was on the bench, but standing up on the side line. To Cousins’ credit, aside from the towel on his head, Curry almost looked like he was checked into the game.

Curry then shot the ball (and missed) from out of bounds and promptly sat down. Despite the turnover, Cousins was having a tremendous game through three quarters. Through three, he tallied 17 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, with just that sole turnover and two fouls. At the end of the third quarter, the Warriors led the Houston Rockets 85-78.
