Draymond Green responds to Steve Kerr lip-reading clip

As if Sunday’s home loss to the lowly Suns wasn’t bad enough, a clip of Steve Kerr seemingly criticizing Draymond Green to assistant coach Mike Brown went viral after the game.

You be the judge.

After Kerr was notified about the clip after Sunday’s game, he attempted to speak with Green in the locker room according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic. Green had left by that point, and Kerr declined to make a comment to the media until Monday, when he deflected by joking about the whole ordeal.

On Tuesday at shoot around in Houston before the Warriors much anticipated clash vs. the Rockets, Green was asked about the video for the first time.

He didn’t seem to care all that much.

“Nah it don’t bother me,” Green said via Slater. “Shit happens, it is what it is. I’m sure there are plenty of times coaches are tired of players, there’s times players are tired of coaches. It’s the nature of the game we play. I don’t take it personal, it is what it is man.”

Did Kerr and Draymond have to clear the air?

“Nah, nothing to clear. Like I said shit happens. We live in a day and age where there is a camera everywhere, so if anything he’ll probably be more conscious of that, but as far as me needing to clear the air there’s no air to clear.”

The lip-reading video was just another element of a disastrous Sunday night for the Warriors, which also included a Kevin Durant ankle injury and Klay Thompson strangely calling out the Oracle Arena crowd for not being into the game.

If we know anything about this team, they’ll be looking to make a statement vs. the red hot Rockets on Wednesday night.
