Opening day is here. The Giants kick off their 2019 season against the San Diego Padres in Petco Park Thursday at 1:10 p.m.
The team shrunk its roster to 25 players ahead of the opener. Among the notable takeaways: Pablo Sandoval was included, and slugger Mac Williamson was designated for assignment. The Giants will rely upon a slew of young outfielders to start, including Connor Joe, Steven Duggar, and Michael Reed.
