The NFL has released the dates for all 32 teams’ offseason programs.
The 49ers’ schedule reads as follows:
- First day of the offseason program: Apr. 15. The 49ers will begin Phase I, a two-week offseason conditioning program featuring strength and conditioning exercises. Phase 2 spans the following three weeks, including on-field workouts. There is no live contact allowed.
- Rookie mini-camp: May 3-5. Rookies will begin to learn the playbook and get acclimated to the NFL.
- OTAs: May 20-21, May 23, May 28-29, May 31, June 3-4, June 6. In these practices, teams may conduct 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills. Helmets are permitted but live contact is not.
- Mandatory mini-camp: June 11-13. These three practices wrap up the OTAs portion of the offseason program.
- Training camp: late July. The exact dates have not yet been announced, but these practices usually begin around July 27. The first two session are non-padded, but pads are permitted thereafter. Training camp typically spans about three weeks and leads into the preseason games.
