SAN FRANCISCO – In the biggest sports storyline of the weekend Tiger Woods won his first major since 2008. One of the greatest golfers of all time caught the attention of one of the greatest NBA shooters of all time.

Steph Curry, an avid golfer, was no doubt glued to a television set like the rest of us Sunday morning, and following the win he congratulated Tiger on Twitter.

Curry has played in some major golf tournaments over the years, including the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship in Lake Tahoe, as well as the Web.com Tour’s Ellie Mae Classic.

Not only has Curry played in some impressive tournaments himself, but also played Augusta National a few years back after winning an NBA championship in 2015.

His first trip to Augusta was not his last. Following a game against the Atlanta Hawks in March of 2018, Curry injured his ankle before playing Augusta just a few days after.

Curry and the Warriors are currently facing the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. If things go according to plan, Curry may not have time to hit the links until June.

For now, Curry will have to settle with sinking puts in the offices of the team’s training facility.
