Doc Rivers tells funny story about dropping $2,000 in SF ahead of Game 2

At the end of his pregame press conference ahead of Game 2 Monday night, Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers shouted out an unknown San Francisco resident.

Rivers says he likes to walk around cities during road trips. On Monday morning, he was doing just that in San Francisco, when about $2,000 fell out of his pocket as he reached to grab his phone. He had no idea, until a pedestrian tapped his shoulder and told him he had his money.

“I don’t know a lot of places that that would happen, but it happened today,” Rivers said, eliciting a laugh from reporters. “Whoever that was, you could have free tickets if you hadn’t ran away.”

Rivers seems at ease as his team attempts to even the opening-round seriesRegardless of what happens in Game 2, Rivers will have a fond memory from this road trip.at 1-1. The Warriors beat the Clippers, 121-104, in Game 1 Saturday night.
