49ers sign former Lions tight end to one-year deal

The San Francisco 49ers today announced they have signed TE Levine Toilolo to a one-year deal and waived S Cameron Glenn.

Toilolo (6-8, 268) was originally drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fourth round (133rd overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. Throughout his six-year career with the Falcons (2013-17) and Detroit Lions (2018), he has appeared in 95 games (67 starts) and registered 95 receptions for 986 yards and eight touchdowns. He has also started five postseason contests, adding four receptions for 43 yards.

Toilolo signed with the Lions as a free agent on March 29, 2018. He appeared in all 16 games (10 starts) and finished the season with 21 receptions for 263 yards and one touchdown.

A 27-year-old native of La Mesa, CA, Toilolo attended Stanford University where he started 28 games and finished his career with 50 receptions for 763 yards and 10 touchdowns. As a senior in 2012, he started 14 games and registered 24 receptions for 393 yards and four touchdowns.

Glenn (6-1, 205) originally signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Wake Forest University on May 3, 2019.
