Andre Iguodala strips Damian Lillard in final seconds to secure comeback win

Andre Iguodala is a timeless wonder. With time ticking down and the Warriors leading the Portland Trail Blazers 114-111, Iguodala was at his absolute defensive best. As Lillard looked to shake and get open for a potential game-tying 3-point attempt, Iguodala pounced.

He smothered Lillard as he shifted the ball to his left hand in a split-second move that snatched the ball out of the Oakland native’s hands, and with a pass to Stephen Curry, placed it in the hands of the adoptive prodigal Oakland son. Curry threw the ball skyward as time expired, and Lillard was left shaking his head as he headed to the locker room left to contemplate a game in which the Blazers at one point led by 17 points.

It was vintage 2015 Warriors. There were countless backdoor cuts, with Draymond Green running the offense from the high post while Curry harassed the Blazers from behind the 3-point arc with his constant movement. When the Warriors extended their lead in the final minute, it was on a pinpoint pass from Curry to Green that followed with a chest bump and hyped celebration between Green and Curry.
