The last thing the Warriors want is for Andre Iguodala to be injured for the NBA Finals. Iguodala missed a lot of time for the Warriors in last year’s playoffs, and it nearly saw them knocked out in the Western Conference Finals. He left tonight’s game in the first quarter and went into the locker room, flipping off ESPN’s cameras.
After the game, head coach Steve Kerr addressed the injury, saying, “He was sore, I think lower leg. he just had some soreness… We just didn’t want to risk anything. When we took him out mid-third, the trainer said that was it.”
According to the Warriors, the injury Andre Iguodala sustained was a left calf injury and he’ll receive an MRI tomorrow:

Yet, directly after the game, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said he was told Iguodala is dealing with Achilles soreness and that he would be “shocked” if Iguodala played in Game 4. It’s reminiscent of the questioning of Kevin Durant’s calf strain, which many assumed, and some still believe, is Achilles-related, but which the team has said is not.
Windhorst’s claim directly contradicts what the Warriors said after the game, but his claim has not been addressed by the team as of yet.
