Tim Hardaway was once a first-round draft pick of the Golden State Warriors. On Monday, July 3rd, he joined the Tolbert & Lund show to discuss the NBA Finals thus far. He even threw out a lofty comparison for one of the current Warriors.

“(Andre Iguodala) Iggy, what can’t you say about Iggy?” Hardaway said. “He’s always there. He’s a pro that’s going to be there on defense, rebounding, hustle plays…You know he’s like Robert Horry. He’s going make that shot, you give him that shot, he’s going to make that shot.”

For those who don’t know, Robert Horry is a 16-year NBA veteran who won seven NBA Championships with three different teams. Over the duration of his career, he earned the nickname, “Big Shot Bob.” Andre Iguodala hit a game sealing three pointer in the last seconds of Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

After a big performance from DeMarcus Cousins in Game 2, Hardaway thinks Cousins should continue to start and sees an area where Golden State could have a big advantage.

“I would start him against Marc Gasol. Gasol doesn’t really like to bang with Cousins. He doesn’t like to move with Cousins and he really doesn’t body Cousins. I think he has an advantage with Gasol…so I think Steve Kerr should think about starting him Game 3. He was a huge contributor.”

Towards the end of the interview, Tolbert & Lund asked Hardaway what he thought about the upcoming games at Oracle and what type of position the Warriors hope to be in in the future.

“Well let’s hope Klay is back or Kevin Durant is back. If either one of them are back I say 2-2. That’s just being safe. We all want it to be 3-1 but being safe, if they go back 2-2 that’ll be great. Hopefully if you go back 2-2 you have KD Game 5. That would be a perfect picture.”
