Hunter Pence is enjoying a career renaissance with the Texas Rangers. The former Giant is posting an .935 OPS with 14 home runs in nearly 200 plate appearances in his first season with the club. Amazingly he’s on pace for statistically the best season of his 13-year career.
Pence hit his 14th home run on Tuesday, a bizarre inside-the-parker at Fenway Park that saw Pence jog through home plate after the ball bounced off the glove of right fielder Brock Holt. The ball just sat on the field as Pence touched them all.
The Rangers are currently 35-30 and sit in the second AL wild-card spot.
