Immediately after the Warriors loss to the Toronto Raptors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Thursday, Vegas released odds that had Golden State as the favorites to win it all in 2020, despite the uncertainty surrounding Kevin Durant. That is no longer the case after news broke late Thursday that Klay Thompson will also miss a significant chunk of the season with a torn ACL.
The Warriors now have the fifth highest odds to hoist the trophy for the fourth time in six years according to Caesars in Vegas. Golden State is listed at +1000 (Bet $100 to win $1000), the same odds as the Houston Rockets. The LeBron led Los Angeles Lakers have the best odds (+400) to win the title, despite missing the playoffs last season. Rounding out the top six are the Bucks and Clippers tied at +600. With Kawhi Leonard’s future up in the air, the Raptors sit in fourth place at +800.
