Former Warriors center in coma after serious car accident [report]

Former Golden State Warriors center Ognjen Kuzmic suffered serious head and chest injuries after a car crash in Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to multiple reports from European media outlets. Kuzmic is reportedly in a coma.

The car accident happened on the road Banja Luka – Prijedor when Kuzmic’s Porsche and a BMW collided at 5 a.m., according to Sportando. Kuzmic’s passenger was also seriously injured. The two people in the BMW sustained minor injuries according to Novosti.

Kuzmic, 29, was selected by the Warriors with the 52nd pick in the 2012 NBA Draft after the big man spent is early career playing in Europe. Kuzmic appeared in just 37 games for Golden State from 2013-2015, averaging four minutes per game. Kuzmic was on the Warriors 2014-15 title team. He’s also won championships in the Euroleague, Adriatic League First Division, Serbian League, and NBA G-League.
