You’ve got to be kidding.
The Giants did it again on Tuesday night. Pablo Sandoval’s opposite field home run in the bottom of the 13th inning gave San Francisco a 5-4 win over the Chicago Cubs, and gave the club their fourth walk-off win in the last six games. The Giants are now 10-2 in extra inning games this season and have nine walk-off victories.
Sandoval was 0-5 before before smacking the Brad Brach sinker to the opposite field, just clearing the wall in left. It looked similar to a Kevin Pillar double in the 10th inning, that was just an inch away from clearing the wall. The Giants are now two games over .500 (52-50) and have a chance to sweep the division leading Cubs on Wednesday.
