He then signed to the Miami Dolphins practice squad on September 26, 2018, where he spent the remainder of the season. After signing a Reserve/Future contract with the Dolphins on January 1, 2019, he was waived on May 2.

A 24-year-old native of Oxnard, CA, Valoaga attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he appeared in 39 games and registered 88 tackles, nine sacks, seven passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.
