SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The Golden State Warriors have announced the following promotions within the team’s basketball operations department: Kirk Lacob as Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations; Mike Dunleavy as Assistant General Manager; Kent Lacob as Director, Team Development; and Jacob Rubin as Assistant Video Coordinator. Additionally, Zaza Pachulia will re-join the organization as a Consultant and Ralph Walker returns to the club as Director, Team Security.

Kirk Lacob recently concluded his ninth season with the Warriors organization, serving the last three as Vice President of GSW Sports Ventures while also serving as assistant general manager, a position he’s held for six seasons. He joined the Warriors in October 2010 as the team’s director of basketball operations and served as the general manager of the Santa Cruz Warriors, Golden State’s NBA G League team from 2010-14.

Dunleavy Jr. joined the Warriors’ basketball operations department last season as a pro scout after a 15-year NBA career that included four-plus seasons with the Warriors from 2002-07. He posted career averages of 11.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 27.7 minutes over 986 career regular season games with the Warriors, Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks. Originally selected by Golden State with the third overall pick in the 2002 NBA Draft, Dunleavy was a Second Team All-American as a junior at Duke University in 2001-02 after helping the Blue Devils to an NCAA Championship in 2000-01.

Kent Lacob spent the previous three seasons as general manager of the Santa Cruz Warriors, overseeing a club that earned a pair of postseason appearances and was named G League Franchise of the Year in 2017-18. Lacob joined the Warriors organization as basketball operations coordinator prior to the team’s 73-win season in 2015-16. He attended Washington University in St. Louis, where he played guard for the men’s basketball team.

Rubin spent last season with the Warriors as a basketball operations assistant after serving as a video intern during the team’s 2017-18 NBA championship season. Prior to joining Golden State, Rubin spent three seasons with the Santa Cruz Warriors, where he served as basketball operations manager from 2016-18 after one season as basketball operations coordinator in 2015-16.

Pachulia, a member of the Warriors’ 2017 and 2018 Championship teams, joins the Warriors as a consultant on both the business and basketball side after recently concluding a 16-year NBA career with the Warriors, Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks and Detroit Pistons. Originally selected by Milwaukee with 42nd overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, Pachulia averaged 6.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 20.3 minutes over 1,098 career games. He is the only player from the Republic of Georgia to win an NBA Championship.

Walker, a 20-year veteran of the Oakland Police Department, returns to the Warriors after serving as the team’s Director of Security from 2011-18.
