Are the 2019 San Francisco 49ers a playoff team? According to ESPN’s FPI (Football Power Index) simulation, they’re more than that.

Every year the world wide leader runs 20,000 simulations to help inform their projections for the upcoming year. On Tuesday, they took just one of those simulations — No. 1,721 to be precise — and published the results of every single regular season and postseason game in the projection.

The simulation has the 49ers going 11-5 and winning the NFC West over the Los Angeles Rams (9-6-1), who suffer a bit of a Super Bowl hangover but still clinch the final wild-card spot. In addition to making the playoffs for the first time since 2013, the 49ers destroy the Atlanta Falcons 37-0 in wild card game at Levi’s Stadium. That’s where the dream ends, however, with San Francisco falling in the divisional round to the Saints 27-17, a rematch of the thriller in 2011.

Despite their uneven regular season, the Rams make it all the way to the NFC Championship Game for a rematch with the Saints, who get revenge after last season’s pass interference debacle, winning 17-10. The 49ers can take small consolation that they lost to the best, with the simulation having the Saints winning their second ever Super Bowl, besting the Chargers 40-33.

Here’s a breakdown of the results from every 49ers game in the simulation:

Week 1: Bucs 37, 49ers 14
Week 2: 49ers 42, Bengals 28
Week 3: 49ers 29, Steelers 24
