Finally. Here comes Johnny.

Johnny Cueto will start Tuesday against the Pirates at Oracle Park, Bruce Bochy told reporters after Saturday’s 1-0 win at Dodger Stadium.

Cueto threw a side session Saturday and came through OK. Originally tabbed to go this weekend in the Dodgers series, Cueto felt back stiffness during a side session Tuesday, which pushed him back.

It will be Madison Bumgarner, Cueto, and then either Logan Webb or Jeff Samardzija to start the Giants’ homestand. Cueto will go for the first time in about 13 months as he recovered from Tommy John surgery.

The 33-year-old has said it’s important for his confidence to get some big-league action before the season is through.

“I just want to feel better. I just want to know that I’m healthy,” Cueto said last week. “Try and help a team. And then just mentally be ready for spring training next year.”
