We might know what Stephen Curry told Giannis Antetokounmpo in viral convo

If 2019-20 Warriors games are marked by hope for the future, Wednesday’s was their biggest all season.

And not for any on-court reason. The Warriors welcomed Giannis Antetokounmpo to town for the first and only time this season, the potential 2021 free agent invading on, what do you know, Greek Heritage Night at Chase Center. Maybe the Warriors weren’t subtle in laying the groundwork.

If the organization wanted to do some early recruiting, many interpreted Stephen Curry as joining in, too. The injured superstar and the Greek Freak shared a moment, captured by NBC Sports Bay Area cameras, in which Curry appeared to say, “Let’s do it.”

The words that followed are more up for debate — some see “you and me,” others interpret it as, “come on, man.” Either way, Curry and Antetokounmpo speaking! Friendships that could lead to uniting! Start up Photoshop and see what Giannis looks like in a Golden State jersey!

According to Yahoo Sports, Curry indeed was recruiting the Greek Freak — for a video game link-up. The site reported Thursday that Curry was trying to exchange gamertags so the two could play PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which is not the team-up Warriors fans dreamed of, but does speak to their friendship. And also lets Curry off without a tampering charge (until the NBA zooms in on who’s gaming with whom).

Meanwhile, Curry seemed to be enjoying all the memes and Photoshops he woke up to. Oh, and the Warriors lost, 107-98.
