There are countless Super Bowl-winning alumni of the San Francisco 49ers, and according to 49ers general manager John Lynch, more than a handful are expected to be in attendance for the first 49ers playoff game at Levi’s Stadium on Saturday against the Minnesota Vikings.

Lynch joined the Murph and Mac show on Friday and teased at the return of those legends.

“I don’t know when they’re releasing it but some of the guys that are coming back, it’s just going to be awesome the guys that are going to be in the house tomorrow,” Lynch said. “We were fortunate that we get to see that every weekend.”

Murph followed up with Lynch to confirm the “parade of legends” would indeed be coming.

“Well, it’s the 49ers so there has to be,” Lynch said. “And I think these guys are proud of the way this team’s playing and there will be some pretty cool things going on and some pretty special people being there and we’re just fortunate that those guys agreed to come on out and be a part of this thing.”

At least one of those legends, confirmed by the 49ers, will be linebacker Dan Bunz, who had a near-identical hit against the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl to Dre Greenlaw’s game-saving tackle to end the game against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17.
