Like most fans, Wells Fargo is proud to root for the home team, so they've teamed up with up with home grown hero Nate Schierholtz and donated a $75,000 grant to the KNBR Step Up to the Plate for Education Program. Click below to nominate your community, arts or athletic program* for a grant.
*Any non-profit organization, as defined under Section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code within Alameda, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, and Sonoma counties, can apply for a grant up to $5,000. To be eligible for consideration, the request must benefit the following focus areas in youth education (K-12): arts & culture, community & civic, health, wellness or physical activity, or financial literacy. Request may be submitted via an essay of no more than 500 words outlining the following: description of organization, participating county, purpose of request and intended beneficiaries. All entries must be received by 11:59pm on October 3, 2012. Only one entry per person per household, entries will be eligible throughout this period. Late, incomplete or illegible entries will be disregarded.
Grant recipients will be contacted after October 4 via phone and or email.
