Gators' five-star LB commit out for spring with shoulder injury

One of the top recruits to sign with Florida last month will miss a majority of his first spring practice as a Gator.
Will Muschamp said Tuesday that freshman linebacker Alex Anzalone will be sidelined for the remainder of the spring because of necessary shoulder surgery.
Injury news – Alex Anzalone had shoulder surgery yesterday and will miss remainder of spring. Bullard and Riggs tweaked hamstrings.

Anzalone, from Wyomissing, Pa., was a five-star recruit (Rivals.com) who verbally committed to the Gators last summer. At 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, Anzalone was ranked as the second-best inside linebacker and the 28th overall prospect from this past recruiting period.
