You're a 23-year-old millionaire. An NBA star. But your parents have you on a $300 week allowance... Does that seem right? Well if you're Warriors guard Klay Thompson, not only is it factual, you can expect a deduction if you're involved in any on-court altercations too. Klay's father Mychael is an ex-NBA player he spent time with the Spurs, Blazers and the Lakers and he controls his son's wallet.
Klay was fined $35K by the NBA for his involvement in a scuffle that started between Pacers Roy Hibbert and Klay's teammate David Lee. Because of that, the elder Thompson has put the young guard on punishment:
"I saw Klay mixed up in the beginning, tied up with George Hill," Mychal said. "I say to myself, don't do nothing stupid now, don't throw a punch, don't throw the ball at anybody."
"Then Roy Hibbert turned his back & [Klay] was like 'now's my chance'!"
"I was like 'you idiot'!"
The 23-year-old doesn't have access to his money, all cheques are paid to M
