49ers safety Dashon Goldson got his wish to be a free agent, but it sounds he'd rather stay in San Francisco.
It's amazing when an athlete has complete control of his destiny, but money dictates where he goes, instead of his heart.
Goldson will get top dollar, most likely it won't be the 49ers paying it.
Goldson had been complaining about being franchised a second time, but can't come to terms with the 49ers on a price. Now he's a free agent to be and he wants to stay, but only if the price is right.
"I still hope there's a future for me in San Francisco but as far as the overall feeling, it feels good. I really hope something works out in San Francisco, its home for me," Goldson said, via Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer.
"We're making good progress of bringing that tradition back. Right now, there has not been much talk. Hopefully something picks up and if they are not, I will be interested in what other teams would have to say."
