1) No purchase is necessary to enter or win any prize in this contest. This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law, and is subject to applicable federal, state and local laws.
2) Eligibility requirements: The contest is open to all persons aged 18 years or older and who are legal residents of the State of California except that employees of KNBR-AM, RP Productions, San Jose Stealth, exhibiting companies, and their respective affiliate companies, subsidiaries and agencies, and the immediate family members of those employees, and those who reside with such employees are not eligible to participate in or win any prize associated with this contest.
3) How to enter:
From Tuesday, January 2, 2007 through Friday, April 13, 2007, listeners will submit an email as to why they should be the KNBR San Jose Stealth VIP Family of the game to KNBR-AM email address: murphandmac@knbr.com. Entries may alternately be mailed to: KNBR San Jose Stealth VIP Family of the Game, c/o KNBR-AM, 55 Hawthorne St., Suite 1100, San Francisco, CA 94105.
Entries will only be accepted beginning the Monday prior to the home game and ending the day prior to the home game. Any entries received after the entry deadline will automatically be entered into the following week’s contest.
4) Prizes: The winning email will receive four (4) premium tickets (as defined by the San Jose Stealth, promotional Stealth t-shirts, special Family of the game credentials, food vouchers, and will get mentioned via the HP Pavilion Public Address Announcer during the game. Total retail value of prize is $300.00 per prize.
5) Selection of the winner: On the day prior to the San Jose Stealth home game, between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., KNBR’s Murph & Mac Morning Show will select one email and that author will win the KNBR San Jose Stealth VIP Family of the game experience for the following day’s home game. One (1) person will win each week there is a home game.
6) If by reason of error more prizes are claimed than the number set forth in these rules, all persons making purportedly valid claims will be included in a random drawing to award the advertised number of prizes. No more than the advertised number of prizes will be awarded.
7) The odds of becoming a finalist by emailing KNBR-AM depend on the number of people emailing the station the week of the home game.
8) Neither SAN JOSE STEALTH, nor KNBR-AM are responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete or misdirected entries, or for the unavailability of entry forms at the entry site, nor for busy signals, dropped or disconnected phone calls, poor cellular or internet connections or call volume that may limit a participant’s ability to contact KNBR-AM.
9) All federal, state and local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Tax, title, registration, transport and licensing fees for the motorcycle are the sole responsibility of the winner, including any and all federal and state taxes or fees. The winner must authorize the deduction of such taxes, if any, from the final prize to the extent of the law.
10) The grand prize is non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash or any other prize, except in the sole discretion of the co-promotional partners. The winner will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility, liability, and publicity release and W-9 tax form within ten (10) days of notification of winning the final prize; failure to do so will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. The grand prize will be awarded in the name of the winner only. The final prize must be claimed within twelve (12) months or the winner voluntarily forfeits winning.
11) By entering the contest, the finalists grant SAN JOSE STEALTH and KNBR-AM the right to any video, audio, photographic or print material involving the finalists for promotional use without further permission or compensation. The grand prize winner agrees to participate with the co-promotional partners and its advertising agencies in publicizing or broadcasting his/her name, winnings, and his/her picture or character likeness without further compensation or permission..
12) The decisions of, KNBR-AM, with regard to the awarding of any prize and the interpretation of these rules shall be final. All persons competing in this contest shall be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these rules. Entry in this contest grants permission to be contacted by the sponsors of the contest for future marketing efforts. SAN JOSE STEALTH and KNBR-AM reserve the right to terminate the contest earlier than the date listed or extend the length of the contest, if deemed necessary. Any deviation from these rules on the part of any contestant will render that contestant ineligible.
13) By participating in the contest each finalist or winner agrees to waive any and all claims for damages for death, personal injury, loss of property or property damage that he/she may sustain as a result of his/her participation in the contest or the use of any prize, and to release SAN JOSE STEALTH and KNBR-AM, all contest sponsors and each of their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with his/her participation in the contest, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above.
14) If after the contest has begun changes or updates to the rules are made, the changes will be announced at approximately 7:30am on the day that the change is to take effect. In addition, an addendum outlining the changes will be available at the station lobby or on-line at www.knbr.com.
15), SAN JOSE STEALTH and KNBR-AM in their discretion reserve the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. SAN JOSE STEALTH, and KNBR-AM further reserve the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is determined that they are not capable of completion as planned due to tampering, technical failures or any other cause.
