Tom Tolbert, a NBA veteran, brings his basketball knowledge and expertise to KNBR on his own segment “The Tom Tolbert Show”, Monday through Friday from 3pm to 7pm.
Tolbert finished his collegiate career at the University of Arizona where he helped lead the Wildcats to a Pac-10 Championship as well as an appearance in the NCAA Final Four in 1988, averaging over 14 points a game. After attending the University of Arizona Tolbert played 7 years in the NBA including a 3 year campaign with the Golden State Warriors. During Tolbert’s 3 years with the Warriors they reached the playoffs 2 times including a trip to the Western Conference Semi-Finals in 1991.
In 2002, Tolbert took his stand out personality to television as a game and studio analyst for the NBA on NBC and received an Emmy Nomination for his work. In 2003, Tolbert was given the distinct honor of calling the NBA Finals alongside Brad Nessler and Bill Walton.Today, Tolbert and his wife Lorrie reside in Alameda where they are raising their three kids, Westin (11), Walker (8) and Hailey (5). Tolbert remains active in the community where he coaches his two son’s two basketball teams.
