Updates with Kate Scott

scott-kate-ballpark

When people talk about the best female talent in sports talk radio today, Kate Scott’s name is always near the top of the list. Kate handles the sports updates daily from 6a-10a during the Murph and Mac Show and also acts as a fill-in host when the boys are away. In August 2016, she became just the third woman to do PxP for an NFL game – and the first to ever call a game on the radio – when she filled in on the 49ers broadcasts for the first two weeks of the preseason. Kate joined KNBR in 2011 and quickly established a loyal following with her wit, humor, and sports knowledge. Kate’s love of sports began at an early age, as she regularly watched ESPN’s “SportsCenter” before going to kindergarten. Kate’s passionate about her alma mater, the Cal Bears, where she led cheers as the first full-time female “Mic Man” and is also a proud supporter of the beautiful game (she says that’s code for soccer, but we don’t watch it, sooo …) In addition to her work at KNBR, Kate’s an anchor, reporter, host, and play-by-play announcer for the Pac-12 Networks and also calls games and reports for the various Comcast SportsNet outlets here in the Bay Area.
