The Cal Bears football team is wisely promoting an upcoming game against the Washington Huskies through one of football’s most recognized and beloved figures: Marshawn Lynch.

Lynch, an Oakland native, is one of Cal’s all-time great products, rushing for 3,230 yards and scoring 35 total touchdowns, but forged an even greater legacy in the NFL. Across a nine-year NFL career, Lynch rushed for over 9,000 yards and scored 83 total touchdowns as one of the league’s most punishing running backs. He won Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014 with the Seattle Seahawks, and engineered one of the all-time great moments in NFL playoff history several years before with his “BEAST MODE” run all over the New Orleans Saints.
