Torrey Smith has access to the 49ers locker room like few others. The most senior member of the 49ers receiving corps, Smith believes that his 49ers teammates are still working to win despite a 1-5 record.

“Guys are still at it working hard, and committed to winning. There’s nothing worse than continuing to lose,” Smith said.

Smith’s struggles with the 49ers have been well-documented. The 49ers receiver has been limited to 12 catches in six games during the 2016 season. This after being limited to 33 catches during his first season with the 49ers in 2015.

Smith and the 49ers will face a Tampa Bay defense this week that ranks 23rd in yards, 27th against the run, and 17th against the pass. However, Smith says the 49ers will need to be focused in order to get their second win of the season. “We’re going to have to be very very disciplined and be on the same page and just make plays. If we may plays, we will win the game,” Smith said.

San Francisco will need to to execute offensively to take pressure off of a struggling defense. With the bye week coming up, the 49ers will look to secure momentum on Sunday to salvage some momentum going into the second half of the season.
