San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey, second baseman Joe Panik and shortstop Brandon Crawford have been announced as finalists for the 2016 NL Gold Glove Award.

Crawford is the only of the three players to have won a Gold Glove previously, taking the honor last season. Crawford’s competition includes the Phillies’ Freddie Galvis and the Cubs’ Addison Russell.

Posey has been nominated for the award multiple times, but has been beaten out by Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina in every instance. Molina has won the award every year since 2008, and is again nominated this year along with Jonathan Lucroy. Most experts tag Posey as the favorite to win this year.

This is Joe Panik’s first nomination despite missing time with a concussion. Other nominees at second base include Colorado’s DJ LeMahieu and the Diamondbacks’ Jean Segura.
