After finishing fourth in the league in defensive efficiency last season, and first the season before, the Warriors opened the 2016-17 campaign looking like a shell of themselves on the defensive end during their first three games.

Golden State finally started to click defensively in their most impressive win of the young season on Tuesday against Portland, and head coach Steve Kerr told Tolbert and Lund on Wednesday that the team is finally starting to click as they head into Thursday’s marquee matchup with Oklahoma City.

“The second quarter, even though the scoreboard didn’t reflect it at half time, I think we were only up six or seven, I thought we really turned it up defensively and that’s the most activity we’ve shown this entire four game season,” Kerr said with a chuckle.

“The activity level was good and that got everybody going. It’s starting to take shape.”

The activity level will have to be even higher against the Thunder tonight, who are coming off their fourth consecutive win to start the season, and have the second most efficient offense in the league through four games.
