OAKLAND – Raymond Ridder might be one of the most important behind-the-scene kogs that help the Golden State Warriors run so smoothly. He’s a major reason the Warriors’ PR staff was chosen by the Professional Basketball Writers Association as the best staff in the NBA over the 2015-16 season.
Often, he’ll jump into a press conference to correct a statistic. Wednesday night he made sure the room knew that Klay Thompson’s 8 assists against the Hornets were his career high.
Thompson quickly fired back, “no it’s not.” Unfortunately for Thompson, Ridder was correct.
